My Current Makeup Favorites 2019

I haven't done a favorites post in such a long time! I have a lot of favorites which I'm obsessed with and have been using for a while, so I thought I would share them with you because I do get questions on certain makeup products I use. If some of these look familiar, it's because I've talked about a lot of these in previous posts! I might do a separate post for clothes and other lifestyle things later on if you guys are interested.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palettes (Original and Vault Collection)
I know there was a lot of controversy with these palettes, especially the Vault Collection, but these palettes are so great and I continue to reach out for them.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette (the "OG" palette) There are so many looks I see on YouTube and Instagram and I immediately think, wow I can do that with the OG palette! Like Jaclyn was a genius when it came to colors and what should go in this palette. I know some people were thinking it was a boring palette with lots of neutral and warm tones, but this palette can do a lot. I've done super natural looks, and super glam colorful looks! There are enough transition shades, highlight shades, mattes, colorful shades, and shimmers to create the perfect look for any skin tone whether you are super fair or dark. If you're a beginner or an expert, this palette is perfect for you.

The Vault Collection - These palettes are perfect for traveling with. I have gone on so many little trips this past year and these palettes were the right size to carry in a bag. Plus there is a mirror which really helps out! And it's not a cheap crappy mirror. While some of these palettes lack highlight shadows for the brow bone and inner corner, they're still great palettes and you can create a full look with them. I know some people had blend-ability issues, but mine seemed fine with the exception of the teal color (called Busted) in the Dark Magic palette.

Morphe x James Charles Palette
Now I just sound like a Morphe affiliate (I promise I'm not!) but this palette also amazed me. I love experimenting with colors and this palette has every color you need (except a shimmery yellow but I'm just extra lol). While you can do neutral looks with this palette, I personally wouldn't recommend it if you're just going to use it for neutral warm looks because you could get that with any smaller palette. But if you want a super colorful look, I highly recommend purchasing it. You get a lot of good quality for your money! Oh and if you want to see me actually using the palette, well... here's a video to watch, lol.

Where to find Morphe discounts: If you have an account with Ulta.com, they send out coupons occasionally and there are tons of morphe affiliates, so if you use one of their codes on the morphe website or at their store, you'll receive a 10% discount! They have sales occasionally, but it rarely includes discounts on influencer collaborations, so just pay attention to their instagram because they have given discounts before!!

Juvia's Place Masquerade Palette
Honestly, Juvia's Place palettes are bomb. I own 3 of them and they are great. Extremely pigmented and blendable. I just particularly like this color scheme and it's very versatile. The gold shade especially is super pigmented and shimmery. Like one of the best gold shades if not the best gold shade EVER. For any Indian party or whatever shenanigan comes up, I almost always use that shade to complete a look. This palette comes in "large" and "mini" sizes. I purchased the mini size and I don't think there's any chance of me running out anytime soon, so I would recommend just getting the mini palette if you're debating which size to get!

Where to find Juvia's Place discounts: Same thing with Morphe, you can find the palettes at Ulta and some influencers also have a discount on the Juvia's Place website. The only influencer I can think of at the top of my head is NikkieTutorials and her code is "nikkie" and you can get 10% off. They have sales pretty frequently so you can definitely get this palette and many of their other products on sale!

Makeup Revolution: The Emily Edit - Wants Palette
I find myself reaching for this palette all the time. This palette has a unique color scheme which reminds of spring with a mix of color and neutral everyday shades. Plus it has a huge mirror which comes in handy. The colors blend easily and are very pigmented. And the names of the shades are so positive and uplifting so I just feel happier when I use it haha.

Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer
Everyone on YouTube talks about this bronzer, so I finally decided to try it out and it lives up to the hype! It's very pigmented and buildable, so if you want a subtle bronze look or a super bronzy glow, this is perfect. Plus it smells AMAZING. It smells like coconut and I feel like I'm right on the beach sipping a pina colada. If you're sensitive to smells, don't worry because the smell does not linger at all. I use it basically every time I put on makeup, even on my "no makeup" makeup days. I think it's a little pricey for the drugstore, but it's worth it!!

For my skin tone, I use the shade Deep.

L'oreal Lash Paradise Mascara
Hands down one of the best mascaras I've ever used. I have non-existent lashes and this makes it look like I'm wearing false lashes. It both lengthens and volumizes your lashes. It's considered a dupe for the Too Face Better Than Sex Mascara, so if you want to save some coins, I highly recommend buying this instead!

Live Tinted Huestick in Origin
Live Tinted is a new makeup brand founded by a fellow Indian-American, Deepica Mutyala. Their first product is a Huestick, which comes in 3 colors: Origin (red), Rise (orange), and Perk (nude pink). Before I go into why I love it, let me explain what a color corrector is for those who don't know because none of this will make sense otherwise. Color correctors are used for covering up any discoloration on the face. You put it on before putting concealer and foundation and they come in colors opposite of the discoloration. For example, if you have blueish/purple discoloration under your eyes, you would use a red/orange color corrector to cancel it out. If you have redness on your face, you would use a green/blue color corrector to cancel out the redness. You won't see the difference until you put on your foundation or concealer.

So Live Tinted released 3 different Huesticks which can be used as a color corrector, as well as an eye primer, blush, or lipstick! I purchased Origin since it is the perfect color that goes with my skin and the darkness under my eyes. It's so hydrating and now I feel like I cannot wear concealer without using the huestick underneath! I might make a more in-depth tutorial on YouTube about this because I love this and it would be cool if more people used products like this!

This is not the greatest picture, but you can kinda see what I'm talking about.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
Everyone also talks about this concealer! It's extremely full coverage. Like so full coverage that  I barely put any under my eyes and I feel like I could use it to cover up all the mistakes I've made in my life, lol. I personally don't understand how beauty gurus on youtube cover their face in this concealer because I feel like a little goes a longgggg way. In my opinion, there's no other concealer quite like this! Definitely worth it.

For my skin tone, I use the shade Medium. But in the future, I might purchase a slightly darker shade because it is so easy for me to accidentally go overboard and put too much to where it looks like I have white triangles under my eyes lol

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer
I heard this was considered a dupe for Shape Tape, but I don't think it is. It's full coverage, but I definitely need to apply more than Shape Tape to my face to get that full coverage, just like any other full coverage concealer. It's a little more hydrating than Shape Tape, so I like to alternate between these two concealers, using this more on my drier skin days when I need the hydration.

I use this in the shade C10.

Maybelline Master Chrome Highlight in Molten Gold
One of the best highlights that I have ever used. If I want to look super glowy, I immediately reach for this one. When I want to be more subtle, I use this one. It's super buildable, so you can get a subtle glow from this, but I personally think this is better for people who love a good blinding highlight. Aka me. This color just goes so well with my skin tone and I apply it everywhere... cheekbones, nose, brow bone, and even my shoulders and collarbones if I'm feeling extra, lol. They have other shades, but this is the only one I have used. I've heard the other shades are really good as well, so I might go out and purchase another color. It's so pigmented and creamy and buttery, ugh I just LOVE it.

Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Summer Haze
One of my friends got this in one of her Boxycharm boxes and didn't want it, so she gave it to me. And y'allllll when I say this is blinding, this is BLINDING. It looks great on its own, but I usually use this and top it with the Maybelline one just for that extra wet shiny look. I mostly use this for my cheekbones and body. It's so pretty. I will say while the Maybelline one can be subtle, this one is not subtle. If you don't want your highlight to be seen from a mile away, you won't like this lol.

Beauty Bakerie Flour Setting Powder in Yellow
Setting powder for me is one of the most crucial products I absolutely need to have when I do my makeup. Without it, I feel like my face makeup will fall apart. This particular powder really sets my makeup in place, doesn't make my concealer crease, and just gives an airbrushed finish to my makeup. Kind of like the smoothing tool on FaceTune but in real life? Plus no flashback in photos!

L'Oreal Pro Matte Liquid Lipstick in 70% Yum
This was part of the Les Chocolats collection and while the other shades in the collection were way too cool-toned for my skin tone, this one shade has become one of my favorite liquid lipsticks of all time. One of my biggest issues with liquid lipsticks is that they make my lips super dry and crackly because of the matte finish. While it's just something that I have grown accustomed to, finding one that didn't dry out my lips seemed to be some kind of miracle. It didn't feel drying at all or even like I was wearing anything! And it stayed budge proof. Never transferred onto drinks or food. L'Oreal has other colors and they are good, but for some odd reason, this one shade (or maybe just the Les Chocolats collection) felt the most hydrating. Oh and it smells like chocolate. YUM.

And these are basically it! I have other beauty products I use regularly that I love of course, but if I'm choosing my absolute favorites, these are it.
