What I learned in 2021

My favorite post of the year! 2021 has been just a learning year for me. Still figuring myself and my life out. In year 2 of a pandemic (yes everything is reopened in the US, but the virus still exists). But as per usual, here is the list of things I've learned in 2021. Enjoy!

  1. If angel food cake is on sale, don't buy it. It's probably gross.
  2. Coffee is from the devil. Don't drink it.
  3. If you plan on taking melatonin before bedtime, take it 2-3 hours before going to sleep. Your body will thank you the next day.
  4. I will tell people that I will not do something, convince myself I won't do it, and still do the complete opposite.
  5. Don't buy a $10 curling iron. It will be garbage.
  6. So much can change in a month.
  7. Just because you got away with parking in one lot without getting a parking ticket, it doesn't mean you can park there again and NOT get a ticket the following time.
  8. Always carry around a coozie. and chapstick. and deodorant. You never know when you'll need it.
  9. Stop saying yes to events you don't actually want to attend.
  10. Apparently wearing a piece of cloth on your face to protect yourself and others from a deadly virus is an extremely difficult task and will cause people to protest and complain.
  11. H&R Block is garbage. Do you taxes somewhere else.
  12. Tax season in America is a total scam.
  13. Democrats and Republicans are both equally trash and I don't think it's talked about enough.
  14. CVS and their discounts are VERY underrated. #notsponsored #wishiwas
  15. It takes roughly 50 minutes to drive I-285 all the way around Atlanta without traffic.
  16. Use both Google Maps and Waze while driving anywhere in a larger city.
  17. Tracking my sleep has made me realize I don't sleep much.
  18. Did not realize a re-release of an album would affect me on an emotional level and it definitely did. *cough Red (Taylor's Version) cough*
  19. I am officially at the age where I need a week to recover from any kind of social gathering that has alcohol.
  20. I also need at least 2-3 days to physically and mentally prepare for any social gathering that has alcohol and will require me to stay out late.
  21. Indian people do the absolute most for weddings and I think I'm over it.
  22. I'm a decent cook. I just don't like cooking.
  23. Didn't think it was possible, but you CAN meet someone that is different from anyone you've ever met in the best way and can completely throw you off.
  24. I have too many clothes and shoes.
  25. Cost of living continues to go up and paychecks do not.
  26. Having a travel set of toiletries all ready to go saves so much time when it comes to packing.
  27. Frozen meals have way more calories than I thought.

Hope 2022 treats you guys well!

Oh and big news... I was recently featured on Shoutout Atlanta!! I have never been interviewed before, so this was pretty cool. Please check out the interview in the link below!! ↓
