I Don't Know Fashion: A Sparkly Holiday Look

Image
I love the holiday season because I can wear sparkly sweaters and no one will bat an eye! I've worn this sweater outside the holiday season and wow, I didn't realize I would stand out that much. Not saying that it was necessarily a bad thing because I don't mind standing out! But going to get your license renewed in a sparkly sweater before Halloween is quite extra, lol. πŸ™ˆ Outfit Details Top:   Target  (Can't find it anymore 😭) Pants:   Target Shoes:   Betsey Johnson Earrings:   Behind the Glass  (Can't find them either. I actually got them at a church sale, but they were originally from BTG) Lipstick:   Colourpop Lippie Stix in the shade "I Heart This" I LOVE this sweater!! I saw it on sale at Target at the beginning of the year and just knew I needed it in my life and I'm so glad I bought it! I've gotten so many compliments and I've worn it numerous times. It's perfect for holiday parties and for New Years! And I L

The Secularization of Christmas and Why I Have a Problem With It

DISCLAIMER: I just have to throw this out there because I know I'm probably going to offend someone even though that is not my intention whatsoever. I respect everyone's beliefs, whether they are different from mine or the same. That is the beauty of the world and our differences give us something to talk about and see things from perspectives that are different from our own. These are just MY personal thoughts and opinions and you are free to disagree or agree. Christmas is a holiday celebrating and remembering the birth of Jesus Christ, which most Christians celebrate. Which is what Christmas is, the celebration of the  birth of Jesus Christ , hence the name Christ mas. There are some controversies around the holiday because even before Jesus was born, there were other celebrations going on around this time of year, but Christmas itself--the holiday people all over the world celebrate--is the birth of Jesus Christ. "Okay Sarah, what are you getting at?" I

I Don't Know Fashion: Sweaters and Boots

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already saw this outfit. But if you didn't, this is the outfit I wore for Thanksgiving this year! I wanted to look casual, but also look like I tried a little bit, so I kept it safe by wearing a sweater and over-the-knee boots. I love oversized sweaters because they are so cozy and comfortable! And boots just dress up and outfit and change the whole vibe in a cool way. But it was actually warmer than I anticipated that day and I got hot in the sweater, haha. #southernprobs This outfit is perfect for for the cooler months if you're trying to figure out what to wear for a holiday with family or any friendsgiving, or really any casual social event when you don't want to be too dressed up! You can always swap the boots with casual sneakers or flats if you don't want to wear boots. Tall boots just really spice up a casual outfit if you're wanting to look a little formal, but still very casual. Outfit details Top:   G.H.

I Don't Know Fashion: Rewear and Restyle

I am trying (keyword: trying) to reuse the clothes in my closet and not buy anything. I'm failing so far, but you have to fail before you succeed, right? πŸ™ˆIf you're wondering what I mean by all this, basically what I'm saying is that I have already done a post with this long sweater duster cardigan before!! Many years ago. Check out that post right here . If you remember that post, you are an OG reader 😌It's funny because I don't hate that outfit by any means, but I don't think I would wear this cardigan that way again. Crazy how our style can change! I love how I styled this outfit here, but the only thing I would add is a belt. I personally don't like belts just because it's extra work to put on and take off and I'm lazy, but belts are sometimes the best accessory to complete an outfit and I think this outfit needed that. But I was lazy that morning and running late, so I decided not to wear a belt, lol. Outfit details Sweater duster card

I Don't Know Fashion: Gameday Fashion

I was born and raised in a college town in the deep south, so football is part of your life in some way, shape, or form whether you like it or not. Yesterday (November 30th, 2019) was the Iron Bowl, which is when the University of Alabama and Auburn University, arguably the biggest rivalry in the country, face each other in football. It's always the last game of the regular season and always ends up being the craziest game of the season because it's so unpredictable and both teams end up surprising you with their performance. And this year Auburn won!!! I didn't attend the game, but I went tailgating with one of my best friends and we watched the game downtown with other fans and got to roll Toomers after!! It is literally the best weekend of the year in Auburn. 10/10 would recommend coming to Auburn for the Iron Bowl! It's an experience like no other. Anyways, I forgot if I've mentioned it here on my blog, but orange is one of my least favorite colors on the
