13 Things You Might Be Doing but Need to Stop Doing RIGHT NOW

Image
DISCLAIMER: I know I sound "preachy" but I promise this post is a letter to myself just as much as everyone else. Have you ever just thought about the small, yet  shitty  awful things some people do and just wonder... why?! Same. I have been on the receiving end of this, and I just wonder literally all the time, why are people the way they are? And I'm not talking about the serious bad things, like stealing, cheating, assault, etc. I'm talking about those small minor incidences that we might not even think will hurt or offend someone. Things we might not intentionally do. I think some people are just used to being liked all the time or being the most popular person in the room, and are so out of touch with reality, that they unintentionally do these things. I have never that person, so I cannot relate in any way shape or form whatsoever, lol. But that being said, I am not painting myself as an angel here, because I have done most of these things as well.

I Don't Know Fashion: Fall Florals

Image
I LOVE florals. I have so many floral dresses and tops in my closet. Specifically black florals. I have no idea why I love this specific look so much! It might be because black can be a powerful, sometimes intimidating color, so maybe the flowers make it more fun and less intimidating? I don't know. I don't think I will ever get sick of black florals. But I went shopping and saw this mustard floral top and thought it was so different (for me) and pretty! I don't own any tops in this color and I honestly don't care for the color yellow, but this color just looked so pretty and perfect for fall.  We tend to gravitate towards dark colors (ex. maroon, navy, black, etc) for fall, but this is such a pretty pop of color that isn't too bright and "springy" lol. I know there are all these "rules" like not wearing white after labor day, wear bright colors in the spring, wear dark colors in the fall... who cares!! Wear whatever you want to wear, whenever

A Nice Person vs. A Good Person

Image
I recently got called out for offending someone by saying they weren't a very nice person. You're probably thinking, "wow sarah that is awful." I know, it is a horrible thing to say to someone!! 🙈 But I truly didn't mean it in an offensive way. I had told the person that they were a really good person and had good intentions... but just not very nice, lol. They were still upset by my comment. Which had me going down deep in my thoughts; being nice versus being good . Here are definitions of both words that I found on google. Nice: adjective .  pleasant; agreeable; satisfactory. Good: (1) adjective . to be desired or approved of. (2) noun . that which is morally right; righteousness. (I put both definitions since both seemed necessary) So basically, my question is, is it better to be known as a nice person or a good person? Or are they the same? I personally think there's a difference between the two, but here are some examples of what I mean.

I Don't Know Fashion: A Fall 90s-Inspired Look

Image
Whoa, two fashion posts in a week?! Who am I?!! Haha anyways, my friend and I were in the mood to have a casual night out, so I got inspired by my  How to be Fashionable with Little Effort  post; looking kinda fashionable with minimal effort, but also comfortable and warm?? It was a little chilly that night so I knew I would have to wear some kind of jacket and my jacket and top would have to look good together. So I decided to wear this lightweight sweater with my oversized denim jacket. I also wanted to be comfortable, so I opted for my fleece-lined jeggings which are super warm and comfortable, but kinda dressy but not really? I used a beach waver on my hair to create some waves and volume and wore this baby pink beanie to bring a pop of color to the outfit. Denim jacket: Forever 21 Sweater: Ellie Clothing Boutique (I think) Fleece-lined black jeggings: Ross Boots: Belk Beanie: H&M Hair: Styled with Bed Head A Wave We Go Please excuse this awkward bath

Holiday Gift Guide 2019 (for men and women!)

Image
I was requested to share a holiday gift guide this year, even though I don't think I'm the greatest gift giver. But it allowed me to do some research and I decided to go the gender-neutral route and give you all some ideas that might work for both men and women! GIFT CARDS Gift cards are the easiest gift to give, let's be honest. Get your person a gift card to their favorite store! And if you're unsure what their favorite store is, get them a gift card to a grocery store (Ex. Publix, Kroger, Walmart, etc) because who doesn't like having a discount on their groceries? CANDLES Some of you might say this is a girly gift, but believe me, some men need a candle in their homes! And there are plenty of scents that won't be too overpowering or "girly" for the men in your life. My favorite candle brand is DW Home and they have a large variety of scents that you will definitely find a scent that you or your person will like. They also have scents str

I Don't Know Fashion: My Travel Style in New Orleans

Image
I haven't done a fashion-related post in FOREVER!! If you are new to my blog, basically this series is where I share my more "fashionable" posts. But I am NOT fashion expert nor do I really know fashion, hence the name, "I Don't Know Fashion" 😏 Eating a beignet from Cafe Du Monde. 10/10 would recommend I went to New Orleans recently for a girls trip. Auburn (my alma mater) was playing LSU in Baton Rouge, so with Halloween around the corner, we thought it would be a good time to go to New Orleans and NOT go to the actual game, but still celebrate and have fun, lol. My friends were planning on wearing football jerseys, but y'all, I'm from Auburn, Alabama. A town where the average everyday look for a girl in their 20s is an XL t-shirt with leggings or Nike shorts. The only time girls dress up is for football games or going out for the night. I am slowly growing out of my shell where I don't care what people think about my outfits, but som
