New York City Guide: Taylor Swift Edition (With the walking path attached!)

So my fiancé and I went to NYC during the weekend of the 1989 (Taylor's Version) release, so I thought it was only appropriate to plan a Taylor Swift-themed tour especially since 1989 has been referred to as the New York City album. Am I crazy? Yes. But was it fun? YES!!! I thought I could share our tour with you guys, if any Swifties ever want to do the same. And if you're going with a significant other who doesn't like Taylor Swift related activities, just lie and say you're going to some cool new spots to check out. I may or may not have done that. He may or may not have found out during the tour but it was too late to back out. Hehe 🙈

This is a walking guide and I made sure all the places were easy to navigate. I have two brain cells when it comes to directions, so if I can do it, you guys can do it too!

55 Franklin Street, New York, NY 10013
Significance: TS lived in the top floor condo.
We started our tour in Tribeca. Super empty street, which makes sense why she lived there, haha. We just took a picture and dipped.

Housing Works Bookstore - 126 Crosby St. New York, NY 10012
Significance: Location where All Too Well music video was filmed.
Distance: 1 mile from 55 Franklin (17-20 minute walk).
One of my favorite spots on the tour! It's a secondhand bookstore and thrift store with a coffee shop in the back. So many books and clothes at good prices! I bought two books. I will 100% go there again.

Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery - 380 Lafayette St. New York, NY 10003
Significance: TS has been spotted getting lunch with friends here.
Distance: .3 miles from Housing Works (6-minute walk).
A nice bakery! Since we were stopping for snacks everywhere during our walk, we just grabbed a donut to-go. It was delicious! If you have time, I would definitely recommend dining here. FYI you'll probably pass Washington Square park on way to the next stop, so feel free to stop there! It's a pretty spot to relax for a second.

Electric Lady Studio - 52 W 8th St. New York, NY 10011
Significance: TS recorded her album Lover here.
Distance: .6 miles from Lafayette Grand Café (13-minute walk).
We literally just took a picture and walked by. Would have been cool to go in, but I think it's only open to people who want to record music. Lots of famous singers have recorded music here!

Cornelia Street - 23 Cornelia St. New York, NY 10014
Significance: TS wrote the song "Cornelia Street" about this street. She used to live here with her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
Distance: .3 miles from Electric Lady (6-minute walk).
This was a fun stop. There were other swifties here so I got to chat with them and it was a really cool experience!

Bus Stop Café - 597 Hudson St. New York, NY 10014
Significance: TS references this place in the song "the 1".
Distance: .5 miles from Cornelia St (11-minute walk).
Forgot to take a picture of the actual restaurant. Dumb on my part since we spent a good bit of time here, lol. Also ran into swifties here!

The High Line - New York, NY 10011
Significance: TS references this in the song "cardigan".
This is a 1.45 mile long linear park. Super cool area to visit and I would recommend going here even if it wasn't related to Taylor Swift! We had already come here on a previous trip and since we were on a time crunch, we skipped it this time. But it is only a 6-minute walk from the Bus Stop Café.

Lovers of Today - 1/2 132 1/12 7th St. New York, NY 10009
Significance: It hasn't been confirmed, but TS is rumored to be referring to this bar in the song "Delicate".
Distance: 1.6 miles from The High Line (36-minute walk).
This bar is in East Village and was out of the way from the other spots, so we came back at night and got drinks here after dinner. They only open at 5pm anyways and we were done with the other spots by 3pm. Really cute intimate cocktail bar. Gets crowded quickly since it's tiny, but it's worth the visit! And I also forgot to take a picture of the outside of the place.

There are other places to visit that are Taylor Swift-related like Coney Island, but if you want a straightforward easy path to follow, I highly recommend following this route! Let me know if you guys end up going.
