A Weekend in North Georgia

My husband and I just celebrated our 1-year anniversary!! We planned a bigger trip for our anniversary (and very late honeymoon) , but we still wanted to do a little weekend getaway to celebrate. We didn't want to go too far away and we wanted a cute Airbnb that we could work from remotely that was close to the mountains. I had already gone to Dahlonega (please read that post here ) , so I went down a rabbit hole trying to find another mountain city that was within 3 hours of Atlanta that was not in North Carolina (my husband's request) . I stumbled upon a very cute AirBnb in Blairsville, Georgia. Might have heard the name once in a conversation, but I basically had zero knowledge of the town. Turns out there is quite a bit to do in the area! I was unfortunately sick this week with a horrible cough (basically for a month at this point) , so all our activities revolved around being socially distant from people. What I Learned in 2025 (and some extra)

Y'all, if I'm being completely honest, I am low-key stressed because I have a lot of blog content that I need to post. I know, what a surprise! I had at least two posts that I wanted to have up before this one, but at the moment, this one is most pertinent because ya know, IT'S 2026!!!!! Every year, I'm just shocked at how the previous year flew by and I can say the same thing about 2025. I just cannot wrap my head around the fact that 2020 was officially 6 years ago. Covid is literally about to celebrate its 6th birthday. And 2016 was TEN years ago??!!! I can vividly remember how excited I was for 2016 because I was going to turn 21. And now I'm officially in my 30s. I cannot believe how fast time is flying and how I really need to be better about living in these precious moments, which I am going to address later in this post.
