Some of my favorite things

My favorites posts aren't as common as they used to be, but I still like... things?? What I've learned over the last year is that I need some time to figure out if I truly like something. I used to make favorites posts every couple of months and I realized some of the items that I included in previous favorites post weren't really things I loved or I just liked in the moment. So I think doing these posts less often (more like once a year lol), has given me a chance to actually tell you guys what I truly liked and what I recommend. Or maybe it's just an excuse and I'm really just lazy, lol. But ANYWAYS....... here are some random things I've been loving in the last year!!

Converse || Chuck Taylor All Star White High Tops
I've always wanted a pair of classic white converse, so I finally decided to buy a pair! I think they are a good "basic" investment purchase because they go with a ton of outfits and will get a lot of wear. Aside from the fact that they aren't easy to just slip on and off, they are some of my favorite shoes and they are super comfortable!

Adidas || Sneakers
I saw these at TJ Maxx and I fell in love. They are so comfortable and I wear them all the time to run errands!

Found them on Amazon, but they are sold out in most sizes-- Adidas Original Women's Running Shoes

Spanx || Faux Leather Leggings
Another "basic" investment clothing piece in my opinion. Super expensive, but 100% worth it. They are high quality and go with everything! I love to wear them with t-shirts to dress up my outfits to make it look like I tried when in reality, I'm really just wearing.... a t-shirt and leggings, lol. And they are so comfortable and just keep everything "sucked in", if that makes sense. The price is scary I will admit, and I definitely bought both leggings when they were on sale. Like if you have read my blog for a while and kept up with me on social media, I am not one who spends a lot of money on expensive clothes and these are probably the most expensive clothing items I own as of today. I don't want to encourage anyone to spend a ridiculous amount of money ever, but if you're someone who loves to wear leggings and would wear them frequently, it's definitely worth investing in a pair because I literally wear these at least once a week.

Moto on the left, regular on the right

Spanx || Faux Leather Moto Bike Short
Basically the same reasons listed above, so I'm not gonna retype what I said. Pretty much the same thing except in bike shorts! Also purchased on sale, not full price. 10/10 would recommend if bike shorts are your thing!

Hoodies
Since I've been spending so much time inside my apartment social distancing (thanks corona), I've been wearing hoodies and sweatshirts at home! Jk, I also wear them outside my apartment as well. 🙈I wear them in rotation depending on my mood, but these two are the ones I end up wearing the most.

Tie Dye Hoodie - I got this from TJ Maxx and I freaking love it!! It's oversized and so cozy and I wear it all the time.

I Am Unwell Hoodie - I actually accidentally ordered this. But it has become one of my most worn purchases ever so I guess it was worth it!

Ring Light w/Tripod Stand || Amazon
I bought this in 2019 and only realized last year how useful it was! Not only is it great for helping me film videos and take pictures, but it is great to use while putting on makeup. I literally use it every single time I am getting ready for the day. Something about the lighting helps me do my makeup better and have a better idea of whether or not it actually looks good or not? It's hard to explain. And there are 3 different lighting color modes so you can choose which lighting works best for you and you can adjust the dimness of the light.

Rain Boots || Target
Tall rainboots were what I grew up with till I entered the adult-world and realized they weren't practical. Then I went to Target and found these black rain booties and knew I needed them immediately especially in the south where it can be raining for weeks at a time. Absolutely love these!! Plus they are fashionable and cute.

The Frame || Samsung
I never grew up watching TV and when I moved out of my parents' house after high school, I never bothered purchasing one because I was poor college student, my roommate already had one, and plus I could watch everything I needed on my laptop. But then after this past year living myself and spending so much time in my living room, I realized how much I actually needed a TV, lol. But in my opinion, TVs are.... ugly, lol. I've been into interior decorating and a TV just did not fit my aesthetic. Like it was 2020 and you're telling me, there aren't TVs that are actually pretty?? And that's when I did some research (I literally googled "tvs that aren't ugly" lol) and found The Frame. But this TV is EXPENSIVE, y'all. There are much cheaper (and uglier lol) TVs out there and I am 100% aware!! But my heart was set on this TV. So I saved a bit of money and found it on sale during Black Friday, so I bought it then and I love it so much. I always keep it on art mode whenever I'm at home and not watching it and it just looks like a piece of art.

Yes I know... the wire isn't a cute look. I will fix it at some point lol

Sunbeam XpressHeat Heating Pad
My age is showing 100%, lol. I get awful cramps (I love being a woman so much 🙃) and occasional back pain, and this has changed my life. You can adjust the heat on it and there is an automatic shut off after 2 hours, or you can keep it for however long. I like to keep it at the lowest setting on my back or tummy when I'm sleeping and it feels so good. I'm linking the one I purchased, but I mostly bought this particular one because I get so many discounts and coupons from CVS, so I only spent like $20 on it (original price was almost $50). But this one is good and I recommend it!

Hanhoo Blemish Acne Spot Patches
These became my best friend in 2020 as I continued the journey of figuring out my skin, lol. Pretty much every time I found a new bump on my face, this would go on top of it. There were times I had 4 on my face. A problem with a lot of spot patches and creams I've used is that they end up drying out your skin and leaving scars. These do not! They just take out the yucky stuff and it sticks to the patch. These aren't a miracle by any means, but they definitely speed up the healing process. Plus they are super cheap! You can get them from Walmart or Amazon (cheaper at Walmart).

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist
I watch a lot of shows, but 99% of them are shows that have been airing for a while (Grey's Anatomy, This Is Us, The Good Doctor, etc), but I kept seeing ads for this show, so it finally intrigued me enough to watch it and it is so good! This girl has this condition where she can see what other people are thinking... through song. It's so creative, entertaining, and funny! I highly recommend watching it.

Private Practice
This is a spin-off of Grey's Anatomy centered around the life of Addison Montgomery that went on for 6 seasons a while ago. I started watching it just to have something on in the background while I got ready in the mornings, but I got hooked. Such a great show!!

My Favorite Music
I had so many favorite songs this year! I personally thought that 2019 was a garbage year for music, but 2020 knocked it out of the park. I really tried to narrow it down to the songs that I listened to constantly, lol.

Save Your Tears - The Weeknd

Be Kind - Marshmello & Halsey

Time (Alan Walker Remix) - Hans Zimmer & Alan Walker

exile - Taylor Swift & Bon Iver

you broke me first - Tate McRae

Hate The Way - G-Eazy & Blackbear

Easy - Troye Sivan

I'm sure I forgot to include something, but it will be included in my next favorites post!! Probably next year, let's be real here haha.
