holy crap.
Welllll I haven't blogged in a long time and I certainly haven't done this kind of post ever, but I had to share what's on my mind and heart currently. and I'm in no way a writer, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm writing and the point I'm trying to make, so bear with me.
Do you ever have those days where you give all you have to others and they don't return the favor like, ever? You are always nice to certain people and do things for them, and they never treat you the same way? That's exactly how I felt today and it really angered me. I ranted about it to my roommate and best friend and even talked about it on Twitter! I was questioning and thinking, "Seriously God? Like this is what I get for being a nice person? Is this even right? I'm not playing this nice game any longer." But later in the evening I went for bible study after a really long time and the reading was Matthew 22:34-40:

I was like WHOA. God is talking to me. "Love your neighbor as yourself." Because up to this point I was thinking that I need to stop being nice to people who don't deserve it, but then realized that's not what God wants us to do. Because in the end what do we truly accomplish? Are we really satisfied? We were created to love one another, not hate. Yeah, people may not treat you right, but we're not behaving any better or being the bigger person by being mean or rude back to them. Sooo yeah, this passage really struck me haha and I hope it helps you through whatever you're struggling with right now! God bless you always and I'm gonna go back to finishing all my homework and studying which I've procrastinated on, hahaha. The Most Important Commandment
34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again. 35 One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question:36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
